While the band has made no definite plans, Queen are open to the possibility of recording new music with Adam Lambert.

Lambert rose to fame as a runner-up on American Idol.

Lambert has performed with the remaining members of the band on and off since 2009.

The original singer Freddie Mercury died in 1991. The band has not released new material since Mercury's death.

In an interview with Planet Rock, Queen drummer Roger Taylor said it is "quite possible" that they would record new material with Lambert.

Taylor said, "If we do anything in the future, I'd like it to be something new."

Taylor added, I don't know how new it would sound, but I think if Brian [May] could come up with a song or two which we felt, sort of, fitted, you know."
