Aerosmith will be one of the main acts at the star-studded 2017 Download Fest.

"Every time we go on tour I look at the schedule for cities, towns or events that I look forward to playing.

Download Festival is always one of the ones I circle.

This year's Download Fest will feature a number of other hot acts.

Among some the confirmed are System of Down, Biffy Clyro, Slayer and Prophets of Rage.

Many more acts are on the bill with several more soon to be announced.

Andy Copping, the Download Festival's Promoter, said: "We're incredibly excited to announce the Download 2017 headliners.

We have three giants of rock and metal topping the bill.

As always, Download fans can expect world class performances across the weekend. You won't want to miss a thing."

Download Fest will be held in Donington June 9-11.
