Beth Greenacre, David Bowie's art curator, spoke about her employer and his love of art for an exclusive Rolling Stone video to promote the exhibition Bowie/Collector.

She stated "he was an amazing historian. He was always looking backward to understand the present - and even propheised about the future, I think."

Sotheby's in London just unveiled Bowie's personal art collection of around 350 pieces, which will be part of a ten day exhibition.

The exhibition will then be followed up by an art auction.

The video clip shows many pieces of the collection, including Bowie's favorite painting "Head Of Gerda Boehm."

The piece was created by Frank Auerbach in 1965. "He lived with that painting, and he loved that painting," Greenacre said.

David Bowie died of liver cancer in January at the age of 69.
