Bob Dylan has finally broken his silence about winning the Nobel Prize for Literature.

His previous lack of recognition had some speculating that the singer-songwriter planned to shun the award.

However, "if at all possible" Dylan says, he plans to travel to Sweden to accept the award.

Dylan's is the first to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in honor of music lyrics. "It's hard to believe," Dylan said.

He added, it is "amazing, incredible. Whoever dreams about something like that?"

Dylan is the recipient of 13 Grammys. The humble artist said, "Everything worth doing takes time," Dylan says.

"You have to write a hundred bad songs before you write one good one.

And you have to sacrifice a lot of things that you might not be prepared for.

Like it or not, you are in this alone and have to follow your own star."
