Tom Petty has revealed plans to release all of his early studio albums on vinyl.

The release will be part of a collection titled The Complete Studio Albums Volume 1 and will cover his releases from 1976-91.

The specific releases included in the first release from Petty will include You're Gonna Get It!, Damn the Torpedoes, Hard Promises, Long After Dark, Southern Accents, Let Me Up (I've Had Enough), Full Moon Fever and Into the Great Wide Open.

Petty also made recent headlines when he performed a special version of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" for the victims of the tragic Orlando nightclub massacre.

While performing the classic tune at the House of Blues in Boston, Petty, in the third verse, altered Dylan's original line of "Ma', take my guns and put them in the ground."

In the new version, Petty replaced "guns" with "automatic weapons," a clear reference to the Orlando shooting.
