Former Genesis drummer Phil Collins revealed in a recent interview why he has held a grudge against Paul McCartney for over a decade.

Collins felt slighted after a meeting with the former Beatle and the condescending way Collins believes McCartney deals with people.

Collins encountered McCartney and his then wife Heather Mills at Buckingham Palace back in 2002, at a party celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth.

Collins asked McCartney to sign a copy of The Beatles by Hunter Davies.

Collins says he stated, "'Hey Paul, do you mind signing this for me?' And McCartney said, 'Oh Heather, our little Phil's a bit of a Beatles fan.' 

Collins continued, "He makes you feel like, 'I know this must be hard for you, because I'm a Beatle.

I'm Paul McCartney and it must be very hard for you to actually be holding a conversation with me.'"
