Michael Jackson has topped the Forbes' annual list of dead celebrities.

Jackson's estate was tabbed at an estimated $825 million worth before tax between October 2015 and October 2016, more than any other dead entertainer has earned in a single year before.

This figure includes a $750 million payout that Jackson's estate received for the sale of his half of the Sony/ATV music publishing catalogue, which includes a substantial library of Beatles songs.

Elvis Presley ($27 million) and Prince ($25 million) rank fourth and fifth respectively on the annual list.
