The Rolling Stones are getting ready to release their long-rumored new album.

The effort is a blues project called Blue & Lonesome, consisting completely of covers of blues classics.

The album is slated to be released on December 2.

Blue & Lonesome includes covers of Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon and Jimmy Reed.

It also features a couple of guest performances from noted blues enthusiast Eric Clapton.

The band reportedly recorded the album live over the course of three days last year.
