This past Wednesday on The Tonight Show, Sting and Jimmy Fallon entertained the crowd by singing "embarrassing first text exchanges between guys and girls."

The two were accompanied by The Roots who played a soft guitar and piano melody behind Sting and Fallon's crooning.

Sting's crooning however was frequently interrupted by Fallon's uncontrollable laughter.

This only inspired Sting to become more serious in singing the absurd text message songs.

Sting became louder and even operatic at times. The two eventually reworked the classic Police song "Message In A Bottle," by replacing the original lyrics with the mundane text messages.

For the chorus of the song, instead of singing "Sending out and SOS," they replaced it with "Sending out an Lol."

After the joke, things got serious as Sting sang the song, "I Can't Stop Thinking About You," off his forthcoming album, 57th & 9th.

The new album will be released on November 11.
