James Taylor teamed up with Vince Gill recently to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, according to Rolling Stone.

The duo came together to perform Taylor's "Bartender's Blues" for the ninth annual L.A. installment of All for the Hall. Originally Taylor recorded it for his 1977 JT album. Later the track was taken by George Jones and was included in his 1978 album Bartender's Blues.

Some of the other artists who performed throughout the night included Chris Stapleton, Joe Walsh and Kacey Musgraves.

Gill also asked Taylor to sing "You've Got A Friend" in honor of the late golf legendArnold Palmer, who died last weekend.

"I'm actually crying," Musgraves said to his Gill's offer. "That's so sweet."

The ninth annual All for the Hall took place on Tuesday, September 27 in Los Angeles at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
