Bruce Springsteen has spoken out about his love for Green Day.

During a Facebook Q&A for Apple, the Boss opened up about his current favorite artists, including Green Day in the mix.

"Green Day, they make great records and they're always thoughtful and intense and they have a band that plays great together," he said.

"My old friends from U2 are still doing just fine.

They consistently sound great and are creative. I have an iPod full of things that can't come to mind right now."

Other artists Springsteen shared kind words about were Kendrick Lamar andU2.

Springsteen recently released his new memoir, Born To Run, along with the companion album Chapter and Verse.

The memoir gives fans an inside look at Springsteen's childhood and the making of his 1975 album, Born To Run.
