The soundtrack to David Bowie's iconic film The Man Who Fell To Earth will see an official release for the first time since 1976.

The soundtrack features music composed by Japanese musician Stomu Yamashta and John Philips.

According to reports, the master tapes of the soundtrack were lost soon after its release.

As the tapes have recently been recovered, the soundtrack is being reissued to coincide with a theatrical release for the 40th anniversary of the film.

The CD will be released on September 9, the same day the film is reissued in cinemas, while the vinyl and box-set are out on October 24, the same day the film is reissued on DVD.
