Ultimate Classic Rock has revived a 1966 interview with Kinks frontman, Ray Davies discussing his thoughts on The Beatles Revolver album. In the interview, Davies calls the album "a load of rubbish."

The Beatles album was released in 1966, the year of the Davies interview.

The album has been considered by many as one of the most influential pop albums of all time.

Davies clearly disagrees as he picks the album apart track by track.

In Davies opinion, the song "Taxman," "…sounds like a cross between the Who and Batman.

Davies admitted in the interview, "The is the first Beatles LP I've really listened to in its entirety."

Given that the Kinks and the Beatles were English contemporaries and Revolver was the seventh studio album by the Beatles.

It would appear that Davies had never been much of a Beatles fan.
