1000 and counting musicians gave proper tribute to David Bowie in Italy.

The group, called Rockin' 1000, gathered in Cesena, Italy to cover Bowie's famed 70's track "Rebel Rebel."

The massive gathering of performers took place in Orogel Stadium, and video of the concert hit YouTube on August 1.

Rockin' 1000 went viral in 2015 after covering the Foo Fighters. The rendition of "Learn To Fly", prompted Dave Grohl and company to play in Cesena, and bring the creators of the video on stage as accompaniment.

Since then the ensemble, dubbed "the biggest rock band on Earth" has covered tracks by the White Stripes and Nirvana.

Rockin' 1000 is a volunteer group, which encourages vocalists as well as instrumental musicians to join by applying on their website.
