Queen star Brian May has opened up about Elizabeth Banks' use of the track "We are the Champions" during her entrance to the DNC convention over the weekend.

The rock legend has previously blasted the Republican nominee for using the track without consent, but says he was fine with Banks' usage.

"Well, I think it's fair to say Trump has been trumped!" "I suppose, in a sense, Elizabeth Banks' use of the song AS WELL his restores the balance.

She didn't ask either, but her lampoon did make me laugh. Watching him parade himself to 'We Are The Champions' gave me a sinister feeling - but Elizabeth's 'performance' was clearly lighthearted."

He added, "Realistically, it seems we have little choice in these matters, but given the choice between our record being used to promote hatred and intolerance, or being used for comedy, I'd take the latter."
