The Allman Brothers Band has announced that they may be reuniting, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

Bassist Oteil Burbridge says that Gregg Allman is trying to get the band back together.

Burbridge says he's "always waiting for that call," he told the San Diego Union-Tribune, and that "Gregg texted us not long ago, saying, 'Hey, maybe we should start thinking about getting something together in 2017.' I said, 'Hey, man, I'm here! Holler at me!'"

The Allman Brothers Band called it quits in October 2014 at a show at New York's Beacon Theatre after playing together for 45 years.

Guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks left the band in order to devote more time to their other bands, Gov't Mule and Tedeschi Trucks Band, respectively.
