Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is currently in stable condition after collapsing on stage during a Hollywood Vampires concert in New York.

During the concert, which took place in Brooklyn, Perry suddenly became ill and stumbled off stage, according to audience members.

Emergency service officials said an ambulance was then called to The Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk.

Perry was rushed to the hospital for evaluation, then transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

"Joe Perry is stable and resting," the band said in a statement.

"His brother Vampires and fans wish him a speedy recovery."

Frontman Alice Cooper also tweeted, "Thanks to everyone asking about our brother @JoePerry.

He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care."

A tweet was also sent from Perry's Twitter account, which read, "Thanks to all of the fans reaching out and asking about Joe.
