Paul McCartney celebrated fellow Beatles mate Ringo Starr's birthday by sharing a throwback photo on Twitter.


McCartney posted a photo reportedly taken in 1981 when he and Starr were hanging out at AIR Studios on the Caribbean island of Montserrat. His late wife Linda McCartney snapped the pic.

The photo was posted in honor of the drummer's 76th birthday as well as for #ThrowbackThursday.

The photo shows McCartney playing a guitar while Starr, sitting on a couch, looks on.

The picture may be from when McCartney was working on his third solo album Tug of War following the end of Wings, who broke up permanently in 1981.
