The U.K. studio where Pink Floyd recorded three of their most revered albums is now being converted into luxury living space.

According to reports, the Islington Council approved renovation plans for Britannia Row, which was housed in a Victorian warehouse and church hall in the Canonbury district, where the band recorded 1977's Animals, as well as parts of 1979's The Walland 1994's The Division Bell.


"I can confirm that the proposals were agreed last night at a meeting of the planning committee."

The Britannia Row developer is adding two floors to the building for residential space, but the town council is ensuring that the rest will be reserved for business use.

Other artists who have used Britannia Row include Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Jon Lord, Jack Bruce and the Cult.
