Early Version Of Beach Boys' 'Surfer Girl' Surfaces

An early version of the Beach Boys' "Surfer Girl" has surfaced online.

This track will be included on the new two-disc set collection of their early demos called Becoming the Beach Boys:

The Complete Hite & Dorinda Morgan Sessions. Omnivore Recordings is releasing the special set to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Beach Boys' first-ever recordings together.


This collection will include all the songs the band recorded between September 1961 and March of the following year with producer Hite Morgan.

Other songs on the set include Surfin'," "Luau," "Lavender," "Surfin' Safari," "Judy" and "Beach Boy Stomp" (a.k.a. "Karate").
Becoming the Beach Boys: The Complete Hite & Dorinda Morgan Sessions is due out on August 26.
