Neil Young has come forward saying he's a fan of Britain's Got Talent, and more importantly, a fan of Susan Boyle.

The Scottish singer stunned audiences in 2009 with her rendition of "I Dreamed A Dream," on the British reality show.

Her performance received 2.5 million views on YouTube within 72 hours after the episode aired.

The instant fame helped the singer's debut album reach number one on both U.K and U.S charts.

In an interview, Young compared Boyle to Adele, saying "You can't really get her Adele to fit into the box.

She's a little like Susan Boyle." He goes on to say the fifty-five-year-old songstress "was great. She still is."

Young is scheduled to perform alongside Paul McCartney on October 8 and 15 as part of the Desert Trip music festival being held this fall in California.
