Tom Jones has reached out to fans thanking them for their condolences on the passing of his wife Lady Melinda Rose Woodward.

Jones shared the note on his official website saying that it has made things easier in the wake of her passing.

"A heartfelt Thank You to all who sent notes of their sympathy and support to me and my family over the last couple of weeks.

So many beautiful and meaningful things were said, and reading these genuine and lovely messages has lifted us all. See you soon."

He spoke on their relationship in his biography.

"I never had that feeling for anyone else . . . I don't think you can fall in love more than once.

She is an unbelievable woman. She's the most important thing in my life," Jones said of Woodward prior to her death.

"All the rest is just fun and games."
