Joan Jett hit the stage with Green Day rocker Billie Joe Armstrong following the premiere of the latter's film at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York earlier this month.

Armstrong played two songs for the soundtrack to his new film Geezer as well as several Green Day songs.

He was flanked by Green Day drummer Tre Cool for the show and Jett joined the crew for several tracks including her classic "Bad Reputation."

The appearance comes at a busy time for Green Day, who also recently released a new video.

Earlier this month the band shared a new video from the studio where they are working on the follow-up to their 2012 album trilogy, Uno, Dos, and Tre.

The brief clip shows Cool banging on steel pan drums.

The vid follows Armstrong posting a pic of himself in the studio to Instagram.

In April of last year, producer Rob Cavallo said the group had been back at work in the studio.
