Rolling Stones fronter Mick Jagger says that the possibility of a Brexit - the U.K. leaving the European Union - "could be beneficial."

Speaking of the June vote, Jag called it a "complex question."

"I think it's a really complex question and I wonder if David Cameron - if he was asked today - would want to hold a referendum now," he began.

"I'm not a politician. I don't think to me personally it's going to make a huge difference."

"I think to the country in the short term if we get out it will be detrimental. In the longer term, in say 20 years, it might turn out to be beneficial."

Last May, Tory political adviser Jim Messina, called Jagger "one of the savviest political observers I've come across."
