Former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour paused his tour on Monday night to stop by Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a performance of his classic "Wish You Were Here."

The performance marked Gilmour's return to the late night stage after a ten year absence.

According to Rolling Stone, the rendition featured "one significant addition, however, as a pedal steel player added a wonderful, lonesome country tinge to the beloved 1975 song."

Jambase adds that "last night's live performance gave us a chance to see Gilmour's explosive electric guitar skills."

Gilmour picks up the trek - his first U.S. tour in 10 years - on March 31 at Toronto's Air Canada Centre.

The run comes in support of Gilmour's most recent release Rattle That Lock.
