A music software plug-in inspired by David Bowieand created by longtime Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti is set to be released.

According to MusicRadar, the audio developers Eventide have been working with Visconti on an "innovative plug-in" to "mimic and build upon the real world effects that Visconti had created."

Visconti, an early pioneer of digital plug-ins, used Eventide's Digidesign delay software on Bowie's 1974 album Diamond Dogs.

"The Eventide team listened as Visconti explained how he and Bowie worked together on the album Heroes," writes MusicRadar.

"He described how powerful an instrument Bowie's voice was what he called 'Bowie histrionics' and how he was able to harness that power by employing various microphone techniques."
