Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, Cheap Trick and David Bowie will all take part in Record Store Day 2016 with new releases, EPs and singles.

Among the releases set to be available are Hendrix's 1969 Smash Hits compilation, which will be released featuring alternate cover art, a single featuring two brand-new songs by Mudcrutch, Petty's side band, a complete version of Cheap Trick's famous Budokan concert; and three separate Bowie items, including I Dig Everything - The Pye Years 1966, which includes some of his earliest recordings.

Other releases include the Doors (Live at the Aquarius: The First Performance);Fleetwood Mac ([Alternative] Tusk), Creedence Clearwater Revival (1969 Box Set) and Metallica (Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, Metallica! - Live at Le Bataclan. Paris, France - June 11th, 2003)
Record Store Day 2016 will take place April 16.
