Carlos Santana has opened up about the making of his album Santana IV.

The guitarist hit Twitter to speak on the release, which brought back together his band's classic lineup for the first time since 1971.

"It just felt like it was the right time for us to partake in this chemistry that Santana has," Carlos revealed.

The lead single from the release will be "Love Makez the World Go Round," featuring lead vocals by Ron Isley.

"This song is gonna be a smash record," Isley said. "And I was thinking if I can add something to the song that would really bring this lyric out, how important it would be, especially in this time right now.

I feel it's going to be one of those songs that has the vibe to last forever."

"Get ready to partake in something that is supremely delicious," Carlos said.
