Former Foreigner singer Lou Gramm says he'd like to get the band's remaining members together to commemorate their 40th anniversary.

Speaking with ABC, Gramm said that he, Mick Jones, Ian McDonald, Al Greenwood and Dennis Elliott, could still make great music together.

"I think it would be terrific," said Gramm. "It wouldn't have to be any kind of commitment or anything. Just to honor that anniversary and do something."

"I do talk to Mick, periodically," he added. "I haven't heard anything about any kind of reunion show or anything.

Maybe he'll celebrate that 40th anniversary with his own band in his own way. And if so, I'll certainly honor it with my [solo] band too."

Foreigner bassist Ed Gagliardi died last year. Gramm and Jones last played together at their induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last year.
