A rare copy of the Beatles's 1962 ten inch record - featuring "Hello Little Girl" and "Til There Was You" - will be auctioned off at Omega Auctions in Warrington, U.K. on March 22.
Described as the "Holy Grail" of Beatles recordings, the 78 was cut at the HMV record store on Oxford Street in London, and is believed to be one of a kind.
The band's manager, Brian Epstein, whose handwriting is visible on the disc, gave the record to Les Maguire of Gerry and the Pacemakers in the hopes that the group would listen to it.
"I've never been a big fan of memorabilia, but people seem to like it," Maguire told the BBC.
"It's no good to me so I've given it to my granddaughter, who is hoping to buy a house after passing her accountancy exams. I hope it goes for a good price."
The record is expected to fetch about $14,000.
