Mick Jagger's son has opened up about his favorite classic rock bands and says he's really more of a Kinks fan.

James Jagger is currently starring in the HBO original series Vinyl, which is produced by his dad, and spoke on his favorite bands with nme.com.

"When people ask me if I prefer the Rolling Stones or the Beatles, then I will always say the Rolling Stones.

But if someone asks if I prefer the Rolling Stones or The Kinks, I'd choose The Kinks."

He also spoke on growing up as a Jagger, saying, "I valued anonymity" but adds that he is "incredibly proud of all my dad's achievements, and I'm very proud to be his son.
