David Bowie's widow, former model Iman has opened up for the first time since his passing last month.

She had posted various messages on Twitter in the days before his passing and has now returned to the social media site to share a tribute to her husband.

In the post, Iman shared an image stating simply "Love and Gratitude, Iman." It follows a series of posts that she offered before David's passing that eluded that his end was likely near.

"The struggle is real, but so is god" she wrote in the days before his passing, and added "Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory."

Bowie and Iman married in 1992.
