Aretha Franklin has revealed plans to start a new food line. The soul legend says that she will partner with a Phoenix, Arizona-based company to roll out a line of food including chili, gumbo and pies.

The news comes shortly on the heels of Patti LaBelle's sudden success with her own sweet potato pie line, and Franklin says that LaBelle should be ready to take a step back.

During a recent television interview in Detroit, Franklin was asked if she has tried Patti's pies.

"No, I haven't, but Ms. Patti's gonna have to move that pie to the side!" she replied.

Franklin is still, of course, making headlines for her legendary voice, as she brought President Barack Obama to tears with her rendition of "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" at the 2015 Kennedy Centers Honors.
