Michael Jackson's landmark 1979 album Off the Wall will be re-issued alongside a new documentary directed by Spike Lee.

Michael Jackson's Journey from Motown to Off the Wall will feature interviews with Jacko's friends, family collaborators, and admirers.

"It's believed to be about both the making of the album and Jackson's pre-Thriller rise to global superstardom," according to Vulture.

Feature interviews include Questlove, the Weeknd, Kobe Bryant, Lee Daniels, Mark Ronson, Misty Copeland, Mark Ronson, John Legend andLA Reid.

The doc premieres at Sundance on January 24, and makes its television debut on Showtime on February 5.

Both the doc and reissue will be available for purchase on February 26.

Lee's previous Jackson documentary, Bad 25, coincided with the re-issue of Bad.
