Billy Joel stopped by The Tonight Show to hook up with Jimmy Fallon on two tracks - the BJ classic "The Longest Time" and a cover of the Rolling Stones's "Beast of Burden."
According to Billboard, Joel and Fallon, joined by JK Simmons, gave an impromptu performance of "The Longest Time" during a commercial break.
"Though Fallon, singing the tenor harmonies and solo lines, is the only one with a microphone . . . Simmons also shines on those bass riffs."
The Stones' cover, adds Ultimate Classic Rock, was equally goofy.
"Fallon . . . delivered his best Jagger impression, causing Joel to crack up as they traded vocal lines and he went from simply imitating the Stones singer's sound to getting up, strutting around the stage in Jagger fashion and eventually climbing on top of the piano."
This year sees Joel continuing his ongoing residency at NYC's Madison Square Garden.
