John Mellencamp may be putting the full court press on his current flame Christie Brinkley, if tabloid news is any indication.

According to reports Johnny Cougar may be ready to walk down the aisle, while the original Uptown Girl may be dragging her heels.

"John thinks dating should lead to a wedding, but he's having trouble convincing Christie!" a completely unsubstantiated source tells the rag.

"After four divorces, she's had it with marriage . . . but John's putting on the full-court press."

The "source" allegedly added that John "thinks dating should inevitably lead to matrimony, but he's having trouble convincing Christie!"
