David Bowie has posted a teaser of "Lazarus," the second single from his upcoming album Blackstar.

The 15 second clip features the lyrics "Look up here, I'm in heaven / I've got scars that can't be seen."

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the snippet suggests that the tune is "slightly more of a straight-ahead number than the title track, which dropped a month ago."

The full version of "Lazarus" will debut on Thursday, December 17 on BBC 6 Music.

"Lazarus" is also featured in a play written by Bowie and Edna Walsh.

The play is at the New York Theatre Workshop where it runs through January 17.

The plot centers on Michael C. Hall, who plays alcoholic alien Thomas Newton, the same character Bowie portrayed in The Man Who Fell to Earth.

Blackstar is set for release on Bowie's 69th birthday, January 8, 2016.
