Pink Floyd have released 1965 - Their First Recordings, featuring six previously unreleased songs on two 7-inch singles.

The EP, limited to just 1,000 copies, is available only in Europe.

"To mark 50 years since the tracks were recorded, Pink Floyd have released a limited edition set of two seven-inch singles containing the band's first recordings," wrote the band in a statement.

Four of the songs - "Lucy Leave," "Double O Bo," "Remember Me" and "Butterfly" - were written by Syd Barrett, while Roger Waters contributed on the fifth, "Walk with Me Sydney."

The sixth track, "I'm a King Bee," is a cover of Slim Harpo.

According to Rolling Stone, the release was likely done to avoid the expiration of copyright, which lasts 50 years in the U.K.
