Rod Stewart performed before the recent heavyweight match between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf, leaving fans less than impressed.

Many fans complained via social media that Rod's performance was inaudible in the 54,600 capacity stadium.

Nonetheless, even those who did hear Stewart weren't impressed.

"Somehow Rod Stewart was better when the sound wasn't working," wrote the betting house Ladbrokes via Twitter.

"Rod Stewart vs Spectator Ears is an under card fight at the Esprit Arena," quipped another Twitter user.

Meanwhile, the Independent called the performance "ear bleeding."

According to the Mirror, Stewart still pocketed $6 million for the performance.
