Beach Boys' Party! Uncovered And Unplugged, a newly expanded and remastered version of the Beach Boys 1965 album Beach Boys' Party, will be released on vinyl on December 11.

According to Esquire, the comp includes 81-songs, including the original 12-tracks, and features rare photos and dialogue from the recording sessions, commentary and previously unheard material.

The set will also include package essays by Beach Boys historians Alan Boyd andCraig Slowinski, and notes by the new edition's producer, Mark Linett.

"The Party! album was a result of the pressure Capitol Records was putting on us for another album," explained Beach Boys founding member Mike Love.

"And we didn't really have time to develop the type of album we wanted to develop, which Brian was working on, called Pet Sounds . . . So we said, 'Well, what can we do quickly and easily?' And we decided to do this party album."

After its release in 1965, Beach Boys' Party! was a top 10 album on the Billboard200 chart.

The album spawned a number of successful singles, including the hit "Barbara Ann."
