Both Jon Stewart and Bruce Springsteen were in attendance at the Stand Up for Heroes event held at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Presented by the New York Comedy Festival and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, the annual event raises funds to assist injured service members and their families.

The Boss took to the stage for a short set, performing solo and acoustic, tackling stripped-down versions of "For You," "Darlington County," "Working on the Highway" and "Dancing in the Dark."

He also took some time to tell a few jokes in-between songs.

Springsteen also helped in auctioning off an autographed Fender Strat along with tickets and backstage passes to the next E Street Band show.

Two people in the audience each bid $370,000 for their own guitars and tickets, adding up to $740,000.
