A newly restored video of the classic Beatles track "A Day in the Life" has been released as part of a new Fab Four compilation.

The collection is a reworked version of the 1 hits collection and will now feature a selection of mini-movies with the music.

The new collection is set for release on November 6.

Speaking about "A Day in the Life," Ringo Starr previously told Ultimate Classic Rock that it's a perfect example of the Beatles signature ensemble playing.

"If you listen to my playing, I try to become an instrument; play the mood of the song," he said.

"For example, 'Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire': boom ba bom. I try to show that - the disenchanting mood.

The drum fills are part of it."
