Actor Paul Dano jammed with the Beach Boys'Brian Wilson at the DVD release party for Love & Mercy, the Wilson biopic.

The night, which went down at L.A.'s Herb Alpert's Vibrato Grill Jazz club, featured a 35-minute set by Wilson and his ten-piece band, according to Billboard.

Dano, who plays a young Wilson in the film, joined Wilson for "You Still Believe in Me," while Elizabeth Banks, who plays Wilson's wife Melinda Ledbetter, danced with her during "Fun, Fun, Fun."

"Brian asked me to sing that song because he knows it's one of my favorites," Dano told Rolling Stone after the show.

Other stars on hand included the film's director Bill Pohlad and actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

As for Wilson, he says he's a fan of the film, remarking he's seen it "five times."
