1. Prep and paint.
After you've filed your nails into a shape that mimics your cuticles (the most flattering of nail shapes), pushed back your cuticles — remember, DO NOT CUT THEM! — and applied a basecoat, paint all your nails with two coats of a sheer peony-pink shade.
2. Add glitter.
Choose a glitter that's primarily pink and begin to paint your nail. But first, get rid of any excess polish that's on the brush by dragging it over the neck of the bottle, so you're left with just a little bit of glitter. Apply it to your nail three-fourths of the way down to the tip of your nail. This creates the beginning of your ombré look.
3. Using the same polish, swipe the glitter from the halfway point of your nail to the tip, building the gradation.
4. Concentrate on the edge.
Lastly, pat the tip of the nail only with the same glitter polish. This will make it the darkest point to finish off the ombré effect.
Finally, apply a quick-dry topcoat over it.
