Designed in London by six British designers, including Halpern, Julien Macdonald, Liam Hodges, Mulberry, RAEBURN and RIXO, the project aims to raise £1 million.

100 per cent of the proceeds raised will be split equally between NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal, BFC Foundation Fashion Fund and Wings of Hope Children’s Charity.

The news comes following announcements from the government that wearing face masks on public transport in England will be compulsory from June 15.

The non-medical face coverings have been produced by sustainable company Bags of Ethics using no single-use plastic.

The machine-washable masks will cost £15 and will be sold in packs of three.
