Bad beauty Habits To Break NOW

Stop licking:

This is the top bad beauty habit to break! You may not know it, but unconsciously, you may be doing this a million times in a day, maybe even while you’re reading this! You may have perfect lips as of now, but the drying tendency of the saliva will ultimately cause chapped lips, leading to dryness and pain.

Leave the pimple alone:

Pimples are nothing but clogged pores on the skin filled with bacteria. So the more you touch them or try to burst them, the more irritation and infection it will cause, leading to skin spots, marks making it worse.

Do not touch your hair:

Most of us do this all the time, and we absolutely love it! Playing with hair, whether consciously or unconsciously, is difficult to resist when you have healthy hair, but then, touching hair constantly will again result in damaged hair, especially split hair and knots.

Never sleep with makeup on:

This is one of the biggest beauty crimes we commit! Sleeping with your makeup on, that is without removing what’s left of it by the end of the night, is something we do many times. You may be sleepy or extremely tired and the only thing on your mind is probably crashing! But taking out only 2 minutes to remove all the makeup and sleep with a clean face, allows your skin breathe through the night, without clogging the pores. Not doing this will cause premature wrinkles, dry and damaged skin and other infections.

Plucking out grey hair:

You’ll be plucking out grey hair so that it isn’t visible, but sadly, doing this is the exact way to ensure that more grey hairs come up where you plucked them. The grey hair that will come up next will be more difficult to hide because it will be shorter and stubbier.

Cleaning the neck:

Your neck is the most neglected part of the body but leaving it neglected over a long period of time will make it dry, lead to premature ageing and wrinkles and create skin infections. Make sure you remember to properly clean and moisturise the area on a regular basis.

Tweezing ingrown hair:

Trying to tweeze out hair that’s stubborn and in-grown is not a good idea. Not only is it difficult to grab it and take out completely, it can also lead to scarring and infections.

Chewing Nails:

It’s a bad, and disgusting habit. Chewing your nails will damage the nail plate and the nail underneath the nail, not to forget the germs that get transferred to your mouth, torn cuticles resulting infection. It can also cause bleeding due to nail rips and skin tears.

Wrapping wet hair in towel:

The hair shafts on wet hair stretch and break more easily. Wrapping your wet hair in a towel will minimize the effects of your conditioner and also lead to damaged, frizzy strands.
