Surf and skate brands are more than just board shorts, rash guards and trucker hats. Many of your favorite skate brands offer some pretty stylin' options for denim-loving boys.
Being a California girl, I can't get enough of the relaxing, playful vibe surf and skate brands infuse in their clothing.
In fact, I dress my kids in brands like Quiksilver, Volcom, Roxy and Hurley as soon as our Utah winter starts to thaw.
And being that my son is super picky about his jeans, I'm glad these brands have denim options alongside their board shorts, t-shirts and chinos.
Billabong
When my son needed a new backpack and wanted something cool and unique, we grabbed one from Billabong.
I'm pretty sure he'd love a pair of Billabong boys' jeans to go with it.
If your surfer boy prefers skinny-fit jeans, Billabong may not be the brand for him. Most of their styles are more relaxed and wide leg.
DC Shoes
Though DC Shoes is heavy on the shoes (obviously), the brand's skater influence extends to men's, women's and kids' clothing.
While the boys' pants are heavy on chinos (similar to Billabong), there are a few denim options including skinny-fit boys' jeans.
Personally, I'm a huge fan of the contrast stitching in the darker colors.
Element
Element definitely has one of the smaller collections of boys' pants among these surf and skate brands, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth checking out.
I love any sort of fun detailing, and Element boys' jeans have that. The back of their newest pants feature four horizontal lines stitched across the pockets and a small logo tag on the right side my kind of detail!
O'Neill
O'Neill's boys' pants are pretty much all knee length (i.e., shorts) but they do have a bit of denim in the mix.
Along with the more common washes and fits, O'Neill offers a pair that's slim, stretchy and twill.
Think of them as more of a dressier pant, perfect for those higher-end skate parks.
Quiksilver
Quiksilver and Roxy are my two most favorite surfer/skater brands. For reals.
I think everyone in our family has clothing from one of these two brands.
I have yet to buy my son a pair of Quiksilver jeans, so it's definitely on my to-do list!
