Banana Bread

Ingredients:

 

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

4 ripe bananas, mashed

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next one.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients from step 2 into the banana mixture, mixing until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the bread dense.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.

       Once slightly cooled, transfer the banana bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

       Best enjoyed with a side of Tea or coffee perfect for a relaxing evening .
