GUNS N' ROSES To Embark On 'Small Tour' In October, SLASH Says

GUNS N' ROSES will embark on a "small tour in October," Slash has confirmed.

The guitarist broke the news of the band's touring plans in a brand new interview with Chile's 

Speaking about his schedule for the coming months, Slash, who has been busy playing shows with his solo band, SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS, said (hear audio below): "After [THE CONSPIRATORS play in] South America, we go straight to Europe and do the festivals over there. And then from Europe, we go back to the States and Canada and do our first Canadian tour, plus some U.S. dates. And that goes until August. And then after that, I'm gonna hook up with GUNS N' ROSESGUNS N' ROSES has a small tour in October. And then… There's been so much talk about this [new] GUNS N' ROSES record, which we haven't actually done anything with. So we're gonna sort of focus on that. And then THE CONSPIRATORS will be [regrouping] some time coming up, depending on what GUNS N' ROSES is doing. But I've already started putting together material for the new CONSPIRATORS record."

This past week, GUNS N' ROSES was announced as the first act for the 2019 edition of the Louder Than Life festival, which runs between September 27 and September 29 at the Highland Festival Grounds at KY Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky. This will mark the first live appearance for GUNS since they played in Hawaii in December 2018.

GUNS N' ROSES"Not In This Lifetime" tour began in April 2016, and after 159 shows in 41 countries, it played its last date at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 8, 2018.

"Not In This Lifetime" is now believed to be the second-highest-grossing tour of all time, having generated more than $500 million since it began three years ago.

According to Pollstar"Not In This Lifetime" topped $82 million in sales during 2018 alone, having grossed an average of $3.7 million per show over the course of the 24-date run.

Since the end of the tour last year, Slash and bassist Duff McKagan have both returned to solo endeavors. There has been speculation that GUNS N' ROSES will record a new LP, but no official announcement has been made yet.

The "Not In This Lifetime" tour features classic-lineup members SlashMcKagan and Axl Rose (vocals) backed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
